Posted Wednesday 15 Oct 2014

Wednesday 22nd October.

Motion Capture - An interactive session at AUT's MOCAP Lab.

Motion Capture Lab - University Room WG213 Auckland University of Technology, WG Sir Paul Reeves Building, 2 Governor Fitzroy Place, Auckland

6-8pm

Come and find out about how Motion Capture works - now becoming an industry standard, it's the process of capturing movement for animators as well as being used increasingly to map out shots and plot story for live action films - before even the actors come on set.

Take part in this interactive session where you see how the process works, find out about some of the applications and see the Mocap studio at AUT - one of only two facilities in NZ.

'Ma' to Screen at HIFF in November

Posted Wednesday 15 Oct 2014

Terrific news! WIFT member Nikki Si'ulepa's short film 'Ma' is screening at HIFF (Hawaii) next month and Nikki will be right there along with the main actor, Ma aka Leiataua Afega Si'ulepa.  She's still waiting to hear if her co-producer, and fellow WIFT member, Ngaire Fuata will be joining her. Fingers crossed for these talented women from Thunder Productions, that they can all make it. Congratulations and hope the event is successful for uyou.
