SPADA is delivering this International Training and Development programme in association with the New Zealand Film Commission, together with key sponsor Grow Wellington and The Museum Hotel. The programme has been developed to deliver on a range of key objectives from building creative team skills, marketing expertise, business modelling skills, to improving international market knowledge. There are three x three-day modules (you must commit to attending all three modules), coupled with course mentoring between sessions by the Course Director.

Each module will comprise two days for writers and directors and producers; with the third day dedicated to producers/teams only (full programme attached).

Mentorship is a key component of the programme as it will enable creative teams/producers to maintain a project's momentum, as well as provide the opportunity to brain-storm any issues/hurdles that may arise between times. The programme is aimed at New Zealand producers, writers and directors of creative content, working at a range of levels across feature films (including documentaries that cross over to theatrical) and television drama. Specific project focus is encouraged in the application process, as projects will form part of the professional development and mentoring focus of the two x one year programmes.

Eligibility

All producers, writers and directors applying for this programme must have a completed feature film script or TV programme/series that has the potential to gain either local distribution
