That's right - WIFT member Miriam Smith of Deer Heart Films, has the world premiere screening of her film The Ground We Won this Saturday 18 April at 6.15pm at Civic Theatre, Auckland. She produced the film which is all about getting tight with the rugby playing farmers of Reporoa. As 'rugby outsiders' film makers Miriam Smith (and Chris Pryor) deliver a big-screen doco that is unsentimental, funny, and so startlingly beautiful - so much so it could reanimate your responses to the overplayed mythology of Kiwi manhood.
