Pot Luck Webseries - Various Roles
Pot Luck is a fresh, fun, and sexy narrative web-series exploring the friendship of a group of Wellington lesbians. It showcases a community and culture rarely seen on screen, and tells their story with heart and humour while appealing to a wide audience.
Writer/director: Ness Simons Producer: Robin Murphy
We're filming episode 1 of our new web series Pot Luck in Wellington in early October 2015 and will then launch a crowd funding campaign in November to raise money to shoot the rest of the series in early 2016. We're looking for a couple of people to help us out in the social media/behind the scenes arena. These positions are unpaid. This is about expanding your skill base and getting in on the ground floor of a brilliant new project that has the potential to grow into a commercial venture.
Social Media co-ordinator
The social media campaign is very important to ensure audience engagement for the series as well as help us reach potential investors through our crowd funding campaign. We need someone to help with the day to day running of the Facebook page, offer up ideas and motivate us to explore transmedia concepts, and keep the engagement going. this position would suit someone who already has experience in social media and perhaps a smattering of marketing, and has a genuine interest in working in this area long term.
We would be making overarching decisions about the campaign strategy and the voice of the project, with our social media co-ordinator feeding into that process and facilitating the execution of our aims. In the first instance we're looking for someone to cover the lead up to and the filming of the first episode, and then the subsequent crowd funding campaign. We envisage this as a part time role, from September to December.
Behind the scenes and content
To provide our social media campaign with content, we need an enterprising young filmmaker to shoot behind the scenes footage, hold interviews and edit clips for use on the Facebook page, a teaser for our crowd funding campaign, and whatever else crops up in the area of promoting the project in social media. This would be under the supervision of Ness and Robin and in liaison with the social media co-ordinator. This would suit someone with an interest in shooting and/or directing who wants to get some hands on experience in creating content. Most of this work would take place in the lead up to the first episode's film shoot, and be at its busiest during the 2 day shoot and for a little bit after the shoot. This would be a part time role, from late September to mid October.
If you're interested in either of these roles please send a message with a few sentences about yourself and why we should pick you to: potluckwebseries@gmail.com
