NZ On Air and the Canada Media Fund (CMF) have renewed their successful joint incentive for digital media co-production.
The total amount of funding available in 2015/16 is $1million (CAD), with $500,000 contributed by each of NZ On Air and the CMF to fund up to three eligible projects. The total maximum contribution for each funded project will be (CAD) $400,000. The contribution from each funding organisation to each project will be determined on a case by case basis.
The fund was established in the 2014/15 year and supported three border-busting projects that are now in production.
The initiative is now open to receive applications. The deadline for submission of ideas is November 17, 2015. A selection committee of NZ On Air and CMF representatives will assess and shortlist projects to go through to the next stage.
Shortlisted applicants will have until mid-February 2016 to provide full proposals, with up to three receiving funding.
