DOC Pitch 2016 will be held on Thursday, 19 May at Auckland University of Technology.

This is a 'dragons den' event held during Screen Edge Forum to support documentary makers,

Doc Pitch helps projects to get funded and completed. This year there is a great line up including VNZ, TV3, NZFC and NZ On Air, commissioning editors from Australia, Singapore and China as well as local producers and there are still more on the way!

DOC Pitch seeks projects with universal themes that are challenging and innovative in subject matter as well as the treatment and delivery.

This year, a total of 8 projects will be selected:

4 x Festival (cinematic) documentary

4 x Television documentary series

All applicants must be registered for the Screen Edge Forum to apply.

Submissions close April 22nd 2016.

Please visit our website for registration forms

Always a crowd favourite, Doc Pitch allows selected filmmakers to present their project to a panel of local and overseas commissioning editors, distributors, sales agents, producers and other potential partners, sitting together in a documentary specific pitching forum.

DOC Pitch is a significant opportunity for filmmakers to put forward their ideas for documentaries and make important contacts.

For the Doc Pitch Panel, it provides an opportunity to hear of new and exciting projects. Observers will be able to hear feedback directly from the decision-make

Please join them at one of four sessions to be held in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch

They have been through a lot of change over the past three years, bringing New Zealand's Sound, TVNZ and Film archives into one organisation.

Now, with a fresh approach and new ideas, they are planning their goals and setting their vision for the next eight years. And they need your help.

That's why they are calling on colleagues across the sector, putting the Draft Strategic Plan 2016-2024 up for discussion and asking for your feedback and suggestions.

Each feedback session will run from 10am to 2pm.

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, Chief Executive Rebecca Elvy and members of the Leadership Team will present an overview of the Draft Strategic Plan in the morning.  They will break for lunch (their shout!) and reconvene for an audience-led discussion/feedback session.

Please bring your smartphone or other mobile device, as they'll be using on the day to gather your questions and get your feedback on points raised.
