Women-Led Webseries to Watch Out For

Posted Tuesday 05 Jul 2016

We are delighted to let you know that two NZ On Air webseries made by women-led teams go live this week!

Aroha Bridge is the creation of Jessica Hansell (aka musician Coco Solid) and produced by Morgan Waru. Aroha Bridge is an animated series that follows the fortunes of musical twins Kowhai and Monty Hook as they navigate their whanau and try and make it big as musicians from South Auckland. http://www.arohabridge.com

And launching this Friday (July 8) is Bright Summer Night. An adaptation of Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream this webseries takes place over one night at a Wellington house party. Bright Summer Night is created by The Candlewasters, a trio of young women (Claris Jacobs, Sally Bollinger, Elsie Bollinger) who have already fostered a huge global audience with their previous two series on YouTube.
