Discounts and drama at The Basement

Posted Tuesday 07 Feb 2017

Two great reasons to head to The Basement in Auckland this week (and beyond)...

- Former WIFT programme co-ordinator Romy Hooper is starring in deVine (Feb 7-11), a tale of family dysfunction and life-changing decisions at a sunny seaside vineyard.

- Did you know your WIFT membership entitles you to concession prices on all Basement tickets, and artists drinks at the bar? Be sure to show your membership card when booking and buying.

Workshop: Copyright for Innovation (Feb 21, Auckland)

Posted Tuesday 07 Feb 2017

Copyright law affects all of us, determining what New Zealanders can access and share online.

Does New Zealand copyright law support local innovation? Has it kept up with changes in the Internet and other technologies?

InternetNZ invites you to a public event (6-8pm, Feb 21) exploring these questions, at the University of Auckland and hosted by their Department of Commercial Law.

Organisations and sectors will be interested in a more open approach to IP rights, and step up engagement in regard to regulation as we move towards a review of the NZ legislation - so it's important that the voice of content creators is heard in these conversations.
