Get your submissions in for NZ Web Fest

Posted Friday 21 Jul 2017

Get your skates on, folks - the folk at NZ Web Fest have told us final submission deadlines for this year are fast approaching, and getting in now will save you money.

The NZ Web Fest is New Zealand's festival for online content, web series, shows, YouTube channels, fiction, factual, and anything in between AR and VR. If it's video content made for online, it's pretty much eligible for consideration.

The winners at last year's NZ Web Fest Awards included The Candle Wasters, TheCoconet.tv's Fasitua Amosa, web shows AFK, The F Word, Mahinga Kai and the winner of the Best Pilot award, Ngai Tahu's Ng? Ringa Toi o Tahu, the full series of which is rolling out right now here.

On Saturday 18 November this year, #NZWF17 will present a day of discussions, presentations and screenings - including all the titles nominated for the awards - followed in the evening by the #NZWF17 awards ceremony. On Sunday 19, they'll present a day of screenings - including a special programme of all the #NZWF17 award winners plus some Q&A screenings with the creators of some of the shows. Tickets for the events will go on sale in September.

Get your shows and pilots in and be in with a shot at glory, bragging rights, and an elegant trophy. Submit via FilmFreeway.

Late deadline: 31 July
Extended last-chance deadline: 31 August
