WIFT presence at Wairoa Maori Film Awards

Posted Tuesday 13 Jun 2017

The Wairoa Maori Film Awards were held earlier this month at the Gaiety Theatre, Wairoa, as part of the Wairoa Maori Film Festival.

We're pleased to report that WIFT member Aidee Walker won the Audience Award - Maori Short Film - Actress, for her part in Laundry by Becs Arahanga.

And of course, we were delighted to see the WMFF WIFT Mana Wahine Award presented to Christina Asher, one of New Zealand's most committed and passionate advocates for our Maori and wider New Zealand screen industry.

Congratulations to both wonderful women!
