WIFTers secure funding from Fresh Shorts

WIFT members are involved in three of the seven shorts awarded funding in the latest Fresh Shorts Funding Round. Congratulations to Elspeth Grant (Memory Foam), Desray Armstrong and Tweedie Waititi (Ways to See), and Yamin Tun and Hamish Mortland (Arrow) - we're looking forward to seeing the stories on screen!

Fresh Shorts is open to applications for short narrative films, which may be live action, animation or documentary. They fund up to seven short films at $10,000 per film and up to seven short films at $30,000 per film.

Heading to Cannes? Get ready for drinks under the palms!

Meet like-minded souls and make valuable connections at the Women in Film & Television Cannes International Drinks Reception, hosted by Women in Film & TV (UK).

Location: UK Film Centre - Pavilion 119, Village International Riviera, 1 Boulevard de la Croisette

Industry delegates from around the globe congregate at this annual reception to network and celebrate women in film.

As this is always a "hot ticket" event, entry is strictly by guest list only. Please reserve your place by Monday 8 May 2017. NB: you must have Cannes Film Festival accreditation to gain access to this venue.
