We're congratulating all our members who won awards in the New Zealand Television Craft Awards. Well done to Best Costume Designer Kirsty Cameron and Best Cinematography Drama winner Ginny Loane of Lippy Pictures for their work on Jean. Lippy Pictures picked up a swag of other awards that night: Best Makeup Design, Best Editing Drama, Best Contribution to a Soundtrack, Best Original Score, Best Post Production Design and Best Art Direction.
Congratulations to our new members at Ruckus, whose Born This Way: Awa's Story won two awards: Best Editing: Documentary or Factual and Best Camerawork: Documentary or Factual.
Meanwhile, we're gunning for our other WIFT members whose work is, or whose team is, in the finals of the remaining New Zealand Television Awards, to be announced 29 November.
Up for Best Drama Series are South Pacific Pictures' Westside 2 and 800 Words 2, and Pukeko Pictures' Cleverman, so we're cheering on SPP's Kelly Martin and Pukeko's Angela Littlejohn, as well as WIFT member Screentime NZ whose Bombshell is up for Best Feature Drama.
AC Productions' Great War Stories series 4 and South Pacific Pictures' Forensics NZ are both up for Best Factual Series awards - AC's Anna Cottrell and SPP's Rachel Jean are WIFT members.
And we're supporting WIFT-ers Tash Christie and Alex Reed of Greenstone TV whose The Women of Pike River, is a contender for Best Documentary.
We'll be crossing our fingers for WIFT-er Anna Marbrook whose Te Araroa: Tales From The Trails series 2 is in the running for Best Lifestyle Programme, and Donna Malane and Paula Boock of Lippy Pictures, up for Best Feature Drama and Best Script: Drama for Jean.
Great Southern Film and Television's The Hui is up for Best Current Affairs Programme and Best M�ori Programme, so we're crossing our toes too, for WIFT-er Annabelle Lee, and also for Arwen O'Connor of Ruckus, whose Born This Way: Awa's Story is also a contender for Best Documentary.
Meanwhile, Bella Pacific Media's Amy Street, is in the running for Best Web Series, so we're gunning for WIFTers Viv Kernick, Kirsty Giffin and Gaylene Preston, and Notable Pictures, for Loading Docs.
We're also holding out for WIFT-er Roseanne Liang of Flat3 Productions: Friday Night Bites is a contender for both Best Web Series, and Best Script Comedy. And also for Kerry Warkia, who was involved in Flat3 Productions' Friday Night Bites, and whose other project, Brown Sugar Apple Grunt Productions' Nia's Extra Ordinary Life 2, is a contender for Best Children's Programme.
WIFT member Lisa Taouma and Tikilounge Productions get our support as Tikilounge's Fresh and #Tales of Time are both up for Best Pasifika Programme, as is Tagata Pasifika, so we'll be cheering for WIFT-er Ngaire Fuata of Sunpix.
MediaWorks' Dancing With The Stars - Grand Final 2015 is in the lineup for Best Coverage Live Event, so we're supporting WIFT-er Hayley Cunningham.
We'll hopefully be laughing all the way to the podium with WIFT-er Bronwynn Bakker of MediaWorks: Jono & Ben and Funny Girls are both up for Best Comedy or Comedy Entertainment Programme gongs.
And we're seriously excited for WIFT-er Amanda Evans whose work on Gloriavale - Life and Death has earned her a Best Director: Documentary or Factual nomination.
