Aotearoa Short Film Lab wants YOU

If you're a short film maker, or you aspire to be, this is a great opportunity for you. A prestigious, hothouse mentoring scheme for screenwriters and filmmakers, the ASF Lab is a partnership between Show Me Shorts and Script to Screen. It offers six local, and up to two international, short filmmakers the chance to develop their short film concepts and scripts with the guidance and advice of experienced industry mentors. It includes a full-day workshop in Auckland in March 2018. Previous mentors include Ainsley Gardiner, Jackie van Beek, Zia Mandviwalla, Roseanne Liang, Dianne Taylor and Shuchi Kothari.

Show Me Shorts programme unveiled

We're excited to see Roseanne Liang, Miryam Jacobi, Lauren Porteous and Zoe McIntosh's work will feature in this year's Show Me Shorts programme. There are 35 short films making their New Zealand premiere, and five making their world premiere, including Porteous's roadside drama Motel and Jacobi's quirky bus-stop romance Do You Like Me Like This? This year's programme also offers a range of workshops for aspiring filmmakers to get involved in. Oh, and it's time to bust out your glad rags, because tickets to the Auckland and Wellington opening nights are now on sale!
