WIN tickets to the movie Detroit

Posted Tuesday 03 Oct 2017

This week we're giving away 5 double passes to a dramatic thriller: Kathryn Bigelow's Detroit, due for release in New Zealand on 2 November.

Following on from The Hurt Locker and Zero Dark Thirty, Bigelow presents another vivid and all-too-relevant exploration of America's recent past. Starring British up-and-comer John Boyega (pictured) as Melvin Dismukes, the security guard, Detroit focuses on the events that transpired one terrifying evening in the summer of 1967, during the civil unrest that tore apart the city of Detroit, and its traumatic aftermath.

To enter the draw, watch the trailer and answer this simple question:

One of the interrogating police officers asks Melvin to confirm that he carries what kind of gun?
