Calling all southern film makers and scriptwriters

Posted Tuesday 05 Sep 2017

Short Film Otago's new funding round is now open, so if you have a script, or a film idea/outline that needs development or funding, it's time to apply. Short Film Otago provides a "first step" initiative for southern writers and film makers, similar to the NZFC's Fresh Shorts scheme, offering fledgling writers and film makers up to $10,000 to produce films. Take note though, either the writer or the director should be normally resident in the province or have strong family connections with Otago. Writers of several selected scripts will be provided with a $500 grant for further development before final decisions are made on which scripts will be supported through production. Entries close 5pm, Sunday 1 October, 2017.
