WIFTer film chosen for Toronto International Film Festival

Posted Tuesday 05 Sep 2017

Environmental crises and isolation loom large in Human Traces, which has been selected for the Discovery section in the of the prestigious TIFF. Produced by WIFT-member Nadia Maxwell and starring fellow WIFT-er Sophie Henderson, the film tells a complex story on a huge canvas: soon after the arrival of a mysterious young man, contact with the outside world is cut off for a husband and wife who are trying to return a remote Subantarctic island, 1000 kilometres from human life, to its natural state. It's director Nic Gorman's first feature, and we're looking forward to its November 16 release in New Zealand.
