We wish we could be there for these screenings, but here are some recommendations to check out online instead. The Female Gaze is a two-week, July 26 to August 9, survey of 36 films shot by 23 female cinematographers programmed by the Film Society of Lincoln Center in New York. The retrospective will feature incredible films by trailblazing international directors of photography, including Agns Godard, Natasha Braier, Kirsten Johnson, Joan Churchill, Maryse Alberti, Ellen Kuras, Babette Mangolte, and Rachel Morrison.

Here's a chance to share your ideas on improving the way our national archivists could be better supported and better structured. Click the link below and answer the five questions. Your answers will help inform the Ministerial Group that's been created to review the contribution the national archival and library institutions (Ng? Taonga Sound & Vision, Archives New Zealand and National Library) make to the culture and heritage sector. The outcomes from the Group's work are expected to be delivered to Cabinet by the end of the year.
Ng? Taonga Sound & Vision itself will consult with its own stakeholders, and as a first step, if you'd like to provide your views on Ng? Taonga Sound & Vision specifically, please email Ng? Taonga can then use that information to help inform its own responses to the Group's review.
