Amsterdam's IDFA Forum is a bit like speed-dating for documentary makers. The Forum (the International documentary co-financing and co-production market) is one of the largest and most influential meeting places for documentary filmmakers, producers, commissioning editors, funds, private financiers and other documentary stakeholders. Over three days, about 50 carefully selected independent producer/director teams pitch their projects within different pitch set-ups, determined by subject matter, stage of financing and stage of development. The Forum organises a further 1000 one-on-one meetings between filmmaking teams and parties who express a strong interest in their project.
