M?ori Film Week to showcase the best of Wairoa M?ori

Here's your chance to catch the best films from the Wairoa M?ori Film Festival. M?ori Film Week and the New Zealand International Film Festival will showcase a selection for your viewing pleasure, in Auckland. It's a great opportunity to see the works of award winning M?ori and Pasifika film makers, including Ainsley Gardiner, Renae Maihi and Sima Urale, who all took away major awards in Wairoa this year. Gardiner won the 2018 WIFT Mana W?hine Award at Wairoa, and her feature film The Breaker Upperers (producer) and short film Mokopuna (writer/director) will be screening during Maori Film Week.

When: M?ori Film Week takes places June 30 to July 8
Where: Screenings are at Ellen Melville Centre, Academy Cinema, TSB Wallace Art Gallery, Lopdell Precinct, Central City Library and Corban Estate Arts Centre, Auckland.
