VIDEO SLOT: celebrating The Piano 25 years on

Posted Tuesday 05 Jun 2018

The Piano features in this week's video slot too. This documentary featurette is produced and directed by Sarah Grohnert and edited by Prisca Bouchet. Their film celebrates the 25th anniversary of Jane Campion's The Piano, and sees Campion (pictured below, right) reunited with The Piano producer Jan Chapman (below left) at West Auckland's Karekare beach, where some of the original film's most memorable scenes were shot. The doco is part of a special edition DVD/Bluray and download that Studio Canal will re-release in June in the UK. Grohnert says it will most likely be released in Germany and the US as well, alongside a cinema re-release of The Piano.
