It's great to see a number of WIFTers featuring in this year's New Zealand International Film Festival. The WIFT lineup includes the world premiere of Merata: How Mum Decolonised the Screen, produced by Chelsea Winstanley; Mega Time Squad, produced by Anna Duckworth will have its New Zealand premiere; Stray, produced by Desray Armstrong is premiering in New Zealand; Rebecca Tansley's The Heart Dances, produced by Tansley and WIFT board member Robin Laing, and which tracks the creation of The Piano: the ballet. Director and producer Shirley Horrocks' documentary on a leading Kiwi scientist, Paul Callaghan: Dancing with Atoms, will open the festival.
