WIN tickets to Vermilion

Posted Wednesday 07 Nov 2018

Starring Jennifer Ward-Lealand (pictured below) and directed by Dorthe Scheffmann, Vermilion is a stunningly beautiful meditation on life, death and the strength of family and friends in a summer of crisis.  Celebrity composer Darcy (Jennifer Ward-Lealand) sees colours when she plays musical notes - synaesthesia. When she notices her vision is disrupted by the colour vermilion, she knows she needs help. While planning the wedding of her daughter Zoe (Emily Campbell), surrounded by her loving friends Sarah (Theresa Healey) and Sila (Goretti Chadwick), she secretly makes her own plans.
It's released in New Zealand cinemas tomorrow (8 November), and we have five double passes to give away!

To be in to win, watch the trailer and answer the question:
What colour are Zoe's bridesmaids' dresses?

Send your answer in the subject line to office@wiftnz.org.nz by 5pm Friday 9 November, 2018. Winners only will be notified, by email.

Posted Wednesday 07 Nov 2018

Documentary makers this is for you! Doc Edge has teamed up with Australia's international documentary industry conference AIDC, to foster Trans-Tasman co-productions of non-fiction feature films or long-form episodic series. Doc Edge says the partnership will facilitate an active exchange of documentary practitioners and projects and as part of this exchange, two members of the Doc Edge team will join decision makers at AIDC 2019's FACTory International Pitching Forum and select a project pitch to receive the new Doc Edge Prize. The prize will provide the winning filmmaker with complimentary registration to Doc Pitch 2019, a Doc Edge Festival pass and four nights accommodation in Auckland. In return, two members of the AIDC team will attend Doc Pitch at the 2019 Screen Edge Forum and select a project to attend AIDC 2020 in Melbourne, Australia.
