Scriptwriters, it's time to promote yourselves and apply for funding, so you can create your dream script! The goal of the New Zealand Writers Guild (NZWG) Seed grants is to give writers an opportunity to create feature film scripts they believe in. Funded by the New Zealand Film Commission, Seed provides unencumbered development funding specifically for writers only. You won't need a producer to access the grant. Remember that a number of Seed-funded scripts have gone on to be picked up for investment, win acclaim in the international market, acquire development and even win awards once distributed. The Breaker Upperers by Jackie van Beek and Madeleine Sami was in the first round of Seed with NZWG in 2014.
