Find out from Leanne Pooley (below left, from Spacific Films) and Karin Williams (below right, from Multinesia Productions) how to follow through on the feedback from your pitch, whether your story needs to change focus, how to create an audience engagement plan, how to find and attach a producer and find funding, whether you need to sort out a crew yet...and much more!

When: Saturday, 3 August 2019, 10am - 1pm
Where: The University of Auckland

Round two of 2019 Seed funding grants open

Posted Wednesday 17 Jul 2019

Ding ding! Round two of the 2019 New Zealand Writers Guild (NZWG) and New Zealand Film Commission (NZFC)  Seed and Seed Advanced grants pathways is open! The NZWG Seed grants allow writers to be innovative, brilliant, and to create something they own, just as they see it. The Seed Advanced grants acknowledge experienced writers by offering a higher grant level and flexibility around development costs. A number of Seed-funded scripts have gone on to be picked up for investment, win acclaim in the international market, acquire development and even win awards once distributed. The Breaker Upperers by Jackie van Beek and Madeleine Sami was in the first round of Seed with NZWG in 2014.

The 2019 Round two deadline is 6 September at 12 noon.
