There are some great prizes on offer at VF 48 HOURS this year! WIFTNZ and Dame Gaylene Preston are showing our support for female directors and filmmakers with two prizes: the Best Female Director (win $1000 and a year's membership to WIFTNZ); and a regional prize for the WIFTNZ Outstanding Female Filmmaker award (win free registration to the 2020 48Hours and a year's subscription to WIFTNZ). And for newbie filmmakers from the capital, here's some good news: each year the team at VF48Hours gives out seven free registrations to community groups - this year it's the Emerging Wellington Filmmaker's Network! The Vista Foundation 48Hours is New Zealand's largest guerrilla filmmaking competition! You have one weekend to make a short film with your friends/colleagues/willing bystanders...

Registrations close on 12 June, and the shoot weekend starts on Friday 14 June.
