The Power of Local sees Irene Gardiner chair a panel of Commissioners from TV3, MTS, Sky/Prime, TVNZ, RNZ and ABC Australia to discuss the power of local production and explore the trends, challenges and opportunities. (* Followed by a Commissioners Roundtable where delegates can meet with / pitch to commissioners one-on-one).
What Do We Have To Do To Grow A Screen Industry? is an exciting interactive session chaired by John Barnett here the audience and 'Questioners' - Lillian Hanly, Amanda Jane Robinson and Morgan Leigh Stewart - will all play a part in interrogating the speakers Helen Bowden, Brett O'Reily, Jonathan Olsberg and Jack McQuire.
The Alchemy of Science on Screen aims to move beyond sci-fi and nutty professors and discuss how science can inspire and support great chemistry on screen. Panellists are Mark McNeill, Dominic Smith, Dr Annette Henderson and Richard Easther, and chaired by Dacia Herbulock (*followed by a Science Roundtable where filmmakers can connect with scientists and researchers from a range of fields).
Taking Documentaries to the World panel discussion with Malinda Wink, Pietra Brettkelly, Stephen Oliver, and chaired by Annie Goldson.
Social Impact Documentary Making a workshop with Malinda Wink from the Shark Island Institute.
