We're pleased to hear from producer Liv McClymont that The Social has been released! One of the funded series of Someday Stories, The Social is a coming of age drama set in New Zealand in 2008, about a teenage boy navigating the social pressures of intimacy at a high school dance, based on the personal experience of the film's writer and director, Conor Bowden. Liv tells us there were a number of female key creatives and talent involved in the film, including Georgina Conder as Liv's producer mentor. Now in its third year, Someday Stories are produced by Connected Media with support from NZ On Air, The Body Shop, Te M?ngai P?ho and the New Zealand Film Commission in association with Stuff, M?ori Television, RNZ, and the Each is being created by a team of emerging filmmakers, ages 22-29.
