Ngā Taonga Sound & Vision archives still accessible

Posted Wednesday 01 Apr 2020

The good folk at Ngā Taonga Sound & Vision want you to know that they're still available to answer queries and to action supply requests for titles that are already digitally preserved. Requests that require access to the unpreserved collections or to our equipment are unable to be fulfilled until our premises reopen. Please note that they're unable to accept deposits of either analogue or digital material, but will continue to collect broadcast news in both English and te reo Māori, particularly at this very newsworthy and historic time! The Ngā Taonga team will be using this time to catch up on some cataloguing, which means that more audio and moving image content will soon be discoverable on our Online Catalogue. Right now there's more than 7,000 items online and free to view, including historical and nostalgic material suitable for all ages.
