We're thrilled to see the telefeature Runaway Millionaires scooped up a nice collection of medals at the 2020 New York Festivals Film & TV Awards. Produced by Carmen J. Leonard and Deborah Cope, Runaway Millionaires is the gripping true story of Kara Hurring and Leo Gao, a Rotorua couple who went on the run after $10 million was mistakenly deposited into their account. The telefeature won four medals all up: Pip Hall's script won the bronze Grand Jury Prize, Rewa Harr picked up a Gold Medal for Best Camerawork, for Director of Photography, Danny Mulheron won the Bronze Medal for Best Director, and the telefeature itself won the Silver Medal for Best TV Movie.
