VF 48Hours to screen on TV in May

Posted Wednesday 29 Apr 2020

They're calling it the toughest, most brutal competition yet! The Vista Foundation 48Hours gave contestants just three days' warning that the competition was on, so there was not much time to prepare. After 48 hours of blood, sweat and not much sleep, 1203 teams made it in on time with their three minute films - all made within their bubble. Watch the best of the best when the finalists are screened and streamed on TVNZ2 at 9.30pm on 8 May and on Duke at 9.30pm on 9 May, while seven films will be profiled on The Spinoff from 1-7 May.

Meanwhile, spare a thought for the VF48Hours team including Ruth Korver and Ness Patea, who spent the weekend watching all the entries and are now busy making the TV special to screen the finals when the winners will be announced. To rise to the top of this pile of films is going to be a huge achievement!

Today's video slot is filled by Bayley Broome-Peake, and filmed while the country was in Level 4 of lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic restrictions. Bayley took to the streets - well, the end of her driveway - to interview the locals of her Auckland suburb Pt Chevalier about how things were going for them, all while maintaining correct social distancing of course!

Produced, directed, filmed and edited by Bayley Broome-Peake and Haylie Craig.
