WIN: double movie passes to Emma

Posted Tuesday 04 Feb 2020

Our first giveaway this week is to Emma, a delicious new reimagining of Jane Austen's beloved classic by director Autumn de Wilde. Handsome, clever, and rich, Emma Woodhouse is a restless queen bee without rivals in her sleepy little town. In this glittering satire of social class and the pain of growing up, Emma must adventure through misguided matches and romantic missteps to find the love that has been there all along. Anya Taylor-Joy stars as Emma, along with Bill Nighy as her father, Johnny Flynn as Mr Knightley, Gemma Whelan as Mrs Weston, Mia Goth as Harriet, and Miranda Hart as Miss Bates.

Emma is in New Zealand cinemas February 13, 2020.

WIN: double passes to Working Woman

Posted Tuesday 04 Feb 2020

We have a second giveaway for you this week! This one is to the 2018 Israeli film Working Woman, directed by Michal Aviad and starring Liron Ben-Shlush, a film that brilliantly navigates workplace sexual harassment and it's complexities. Australia's The Age called it " A supremely clever movie, rooted in strong emotion that's rigorously controlled. A work of passion..."

Here's the plot: Orna returns to work and becomes the main breadwinner for her three children. Whilst hardworking, talented and ambitious, Orna faces increasing sexual harassment from Benny, her boss, which soon affects her entire life. When her world is finally shattered, she must pull herself together to fight, in her own way, for her job and a sense of self-worth.

The New York Times
said,"Despite its surface-level placidity, the Israeli feature Working Woman unfolds like a psychological thriller - a procedural that, as it tightens its grip, captures how workplace sexual harassment slowly takes over one woman's life."

We have five double passes to give away to a screening at one of the cinemas listed below (sorry, there are no Wellington screenings).

To be in to win, click here to watch the trailer and answer the question below:
