Are you ready to be part of film festival history?! In three weeks Wh?nau M?rama: New Zealand International Film Festival (24 July - 3 August, 2020) will be the first hybrid film festival in the world presenting its programme of films both online and in cinemas. New Zealand leads the upcoming hybrid editions of Venice, TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) and Locarno film festivals, all confirmed for August and September 2020.

Tickets are on sale now for ASB Waterfront Theatre screenings, and already the world premiere screening of Anna Marbrook's Loimata, The Sweetest Tears has sold out with an extra screening added. Tickets for other screenings will go on sale over the next 10 days. Tickets for all in-cinema screenings are available through the respective theatres. Tickets for online premiere films go on sale 10 July.
