Jennifer Ward Lealand is NZer of the Year

We were thrilled to see Jennifer Ward Lealand Te Atamira was named as the 2020 Kiwibank New Zealander of the Year. Ward-Lealand, a M?ori advocate who is fluent in te reo, is the 11th recipient of the award. She was made a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit last year for her services to theatre, film, and television, including being an outspoken and determined advocate for actors' working conditions and pay. Ka pai Jennifer!

Arielle KilkerLA-based filmmaker Arielle Kilker, who recently developed, produced, co-directed and edited the awe-inspiring Netflix mega-hit Cheer will deliver a masterclass on the documentary series format. Cheer, a six-part documentary series, unveils the demanding world of competitive cheerleading as it follows the Navarro team's journey to defend their national title. In 2019 Kilker (pictured, left) was a supervising editor on college football series Last Chance U, and an editor on Chef's Table, both Emmy-nominated Netflix docu-series.
