Intellectual Property can be a particularly complex area for the creative sector, so the good folk at Showtools are running a livestream event on it next week. Titled IP: What is it, who owns it, and how is it valued? the session will feature Lynell Tuffery Huria and Sarah Caughey and be facilitated by Lillian Hanly.

Lynell is the chairperson of the Indigenous Peoples' Rights Subcommittee for the International Trademark Association (INTA), and is also known as a guru for trademarks relating to the Pacific Islands. Sarah is a practicing lawyer for Media Arts Lawyers, and specialises in the financing, production, and exploitation of audio visual content.
