New streaming service Femflix celebrates female-driven storytelling

Streaming service Femflix has launched in Australia and New Zealand. The brainchild of Samantha Laidlaw (pictured), the ad-free service costs $NZ9.50 a month and offers 200 titles, all with at least one female-identifying creative in positions such as director, producer, writer, cinematographer or lead actress.

RNZ commissioning Pan-Asian content

RNZ is seeking multi-platform, high-quality Pan-Asian audio and visual content that is inclusive, made by and for, and represents this diverse section of New Zealanders.

Two of the three creatives (producer, director and writer) must be Pan-Asian. Refer to the New Zealand On Air RFP guidelines for clarity if your creative team make up differs from this requirement.

RNZ is open to pitches for factual projects of any genre or format but they will only accept (the first) three applications per production company/team.

The content will be made available on new and existing RNZ platforms and it is strongly encouraged that the pitches have a social led approach.
