Actors Equity Guild political panel on Arts policies

Equity New Zealand, the actors guild, invites you to a political panel next Monday. Put your burning questions to the politicians, and hear them outline how they intend to support sustainable careers for people working in the performing arts. The confirmed line-up includes:

Associate Minister for Arts Culture and Heritage Carmel Sepuloni for Labour.
Chloe Swarbrick MP for the Greens.
Jenny Marcroft MP for New Zealand First.
Dan Bidois MP for National.
Rawiri Waititi for the M?ori Party
Shai Nevot, the deputy leader of TOP.

The panel MC will be Equity president Jennifer Ward-Lealand.

Check out the stellar array of film industry professionals in conversation online during the Aesthetica Film Festival! There are some fantastic masterclasses - here are just two of the many available:

Iconic Cinema: Andrea Arnold in Conversation
Andrea Arnold (above left) is one of the most celebrated filmmakers of the last decade. Her credits include the Oscar-winning short Wasp and the features Red Road, Fish Tank, Wuthering Heights and American Honey.

Primetime Presents: Sarah Gavron in Conversation
Sarah Gavron (above right) is a BAFTA-winning filmmaker whose credits include This Little Life, Brick Lane, Suffragette and Rocks. Gavron speaks about her motivations and inspirations and her progression from short film to TV and features. She also reviews the necessity for a more equally representative film industry, on-screen and behind the lens.
