Crime dramas receive funding

It's great to see WIFTers' work features in the mix of screen projects selected in the Interim Production Round of the $50 million Te Puna Kairangi Premium Fund.

Congratulations to South Pacific Pictures and producer and WIFT NZ Board member Kelly Martin, whose six-part drama series Far North was funded.
Far North is a true story featuring half a billion dollars’ worth of meth, a broken boat with its crew starving to death, one comically inept gang and two salt-of-the-earth amateur detectives.

And congratulations to producers Cass Avery and writers Candida Beveridge and Megan Jones whose documentary series Black Coast Vanishings was funded.

Black Coast Vanishings is a true-crime mystery series about the disappearance of six people in a small surf town that has divided the locals and given rise to fear and suspicion.
