Funding to bring your video game concept a step closer to reality

Applications for the New Zealand Film Commission's Whakawhanake Te Ao Niko-Interactive Development Fund are open!

On offer is a grant of between $25,000 and $50,000 per project to enable the development of interactive content with significant New Zealand creative and cultural outcomes.

The fund is aimed at Concept development of original narrative-based interactive and games content, which can be delivered on any platform (for example, mobile, online, console, virtual reality, or augmented reality). 

Apply now if you are a New Zealand game or screen company that is:

  • Looking to develop interactive works that have a strong story focus.
  • Holds or shares the necessary intellectual property rights for the project.
  • Can demonstrate the ability to be able to deliver the project.
