RNZ seeks fun and innovative, social-led content for Rangatahi Māori

Posted Tuesday 23 Nov 2021

A funding announcement by Te Māngai Pāho and NZ On Air is due mid-December, so RNZ is getting its ducks in a row in case funds are available for a Co-fund round in early 2022 .

With that in mind, RNZ is seeking expressions of interest/short pitches for projects looking for Primary Platform support should this fund become available.

Here's the important bit...
RNZ is primarily looking for fun and innovative, social-led content for Rangatahi Māori.
Preference will be given to projects which have music at their heart, are positive, innovative and fun. Where possible, they should be made by and for the audience.

Send your short pitch (maximum of 3 pages) along with a mandatory cover sheet and information about you and your production to commissioning@rnz.co.nz by 9am, Monday 13 December 2021.

RNZ says its intention is to shortlist for full proposals before closing shop for the end of year (and by doing this will leave plenty of time for Producers to prepare full proposals in the new year, ensuring everyone gets a break).

Please note:

  • Any pitches received later than this date will not be considered for this round.
  • The cover sheet contains important additional formatting and naming instructions that need to be followed.

Any application documents (ie the cover sheet) are available to download here.
