Look out Ōtaki, the eighth annual Māoriland Film Festival is coming! This year's MFF will present 120 films and 50 events from 80 Indigenous nations over five days in March (24 - 28). It will also see the official opening of the first designated filmmaker residence in New Zealand at the Māoriland Hub in Ōtaki. Screenings open with the worldwide festival premiere of the Briar Grace Smith- and Ainsley Gardiner -directed Cousins on opening night.
There's even a free bus from Wellington to Ōtaki during the festival, so check out the Māoriland website for more details.
