RNZ seeks audio/visual content featuring waiata reo Māori

RNZ is seeking high quality audio and visual content featuring waiata reo Māori, with the aim of:

Embedding waiata reo Māori in the daily lives of everyday New Zealanders; or

Converting New Zealanders with zero to passive reo Māori into waiata reo Māori benefactors.

Successful proposals will be offered platform support for applications being submitted into the Te Māngai Paho Music Breakthrough Projects RFP 2020/21 - Round 4.

NZFC gender scholarship attracts high numbers of women in comedy

We're pleased to see that the New Zealand Film Commission's 2020 Gender Scholarship received its highest number of applications since its inception. According to the NZFC Annual Report 2019-20, tabled in Parliament on 27 January, 123 women working in comedy applied. In addition, the NZFC met its goal of 50% women directors attached to projects receiving feature film development and production financing.
