We could all do with a good laugh! Check out this year’s MWFF programme, Laugh Louder, which focuses on all things funny, with specially curated screenings, retrospectives, conversations and workshops featuring Australian, Aotearoa New Zealand and Pasifika women and gender diverse filmmakers.
There's a dynamic program of features and short films, classic films, web series, music videos, talks and workshops to attend in-person and online.
We're glad to see WIFTers' work features at the festival.
Vea Mafileo's 2018 short doco Toa'ipuapuaga Strength In Suffering and 2019's Mawhialeo Ote Alowha/Our Love, directed by Valeriya Golovina both screen in the Reel Shorts section, a collection of captivating documentaries delving into the true and human stories of the region.
