SBS Viceland picks up Shortland St in Australia

Posted Wednesday 20 Jan 2021

It's great to see that South Pacific Pictures' long-running and hugely popular Kiwi TV soap, has a new home on SBS Vice in Australia.

The release of the final 40 episodes of 2020 and the premiere of season 29 on 11 January means that Australian fans of the show will be as up to date with 'Shorty' as audiences in New Zealand.

SPP CEO Kelly Martin says they have had a huge amount of feedback from Shortland St fans in Australia who are eager to continue watching the show, and we love how SBS have responded to that with their plan for rolling the show out day and date with NZ."
