Rapley honoured for services to music & TV

We're thrilled to see that Tere Veronica Rapley, or as we know her best, Teremoana Rapley, has been made an MNZM in the Queen's Birthday Honours List, recognising her work with Upper Hutt Posse and Moana and the Moahunters as well as her work presenting TVNZ’s What Now, in the mid-1990s, and a stint reporting for Māori-focused youth news programme Mai Time from 1996 to 2001. She later moved behind the camera and spent more than a decade directing and producing at Māori TV.

It was fabulous to see that Hinewehi Mohi, (Ngāti Kahungunu and Ngāi Tūhoe), has been named a dame companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit for her services to music and Māori television. Dame Hinewehi received the Te Reo Māori Champion Award at the 2016 WIFT NZ Awards.
