Emerging Women Filmmakers Incubator

The Directors & Editors Guild of NZ welcomes applications from Māori, Pacific Island, Pan-Asian and other POC female directors to take part in this talent development programme.

The Incubator is a talent-focused development programme structured over five one-day workshops across a year. While directors come to the Incubator with a project, our main aim is to provide specific knowledge, skills, connections and inspiration to enable each participant to advance themselves and their careers.

Creative collaboration training programme for writers

Creative Collaboration in Action is a dynamic and interactive online training programme for emerging to mid-career writers and producers in 2021. WIFT members are welcome and the workshop is free of charge!

It's being launched by the Screen Production and Development Association (SPADA) and the New Zealand Writers Guild (NZWG), in association with the New Zealand Film Commission.

The Programme comprises five online modules over a four-month period (April - July 2021), and will be supported by a Best Practice Guide created by SPADA and NZWG.
