We bring you this award-winning short as a tribute to former WIFT NZ member Stephanie Sinclaire who died in Wellington last month.
Directed by Stephanie's daughter and WIFT NZ member Katherine Wyeth, who also co-wrote and co-produced the film with her mother, Goblin Market is based on the epic poem of the same name by Christina Rossetti. In screened at the 2016 Cinematic Arts Fest in Los Angeles and won Best Cinematography Award at The Auckland International Film Festival that year.
Goblin Market is a dark fairytale about two sisters who live together sheltered from the world, until one falls prey to temptation and is trapped in a web of seduction and betrayal, and the other must risk everything to save her.
