Congratulations to the team behind Blood & Gold. The locally shot short film from The Hot House in association with the NZFC will have its premiere at Show Me Shorts Festival. Set in the South Island in 1861, the film follows a woman on the run who must make a decision that will alter the course of two lives. It's directed by Yamin Tun, written by Jodie Hillock and produced by Morgan Leigh Stewart. And, it's up for the following Show Me Shorts nominations:
- Jodie Hillock - Best Actor
- Joyena Sun - Best Actor
- Ryan Alexander Lloyd - Best Cinematographer
- Brendon Chan - Best Editor
Blood & Gold will have a local screening in Arrowtown on Sunday 17 October as a part of the Show Me Shorts Sampler session.
