Rūrangi producer talks MoUs tomorrow in PASC webinar

Tune in tomorrow from 7-8pm to this Pan Asian Screen Collective webinar on the topic of MoUs (Memorandums of Understanding) with Rūrangi producer Craig Gainsborough-Waring. It's part of the Episode One: Web Series Pilot Programme run by PASC and designed by screenwriter Shuchi Kothari.

Experienced screen practitioners know the surpassing value of having well-defined MoUs and agreements before advancing projects. Such timely foundational documents best safeguard commercial and creative relationships between collaborators. This hour-long webinar with Craig Gainsborough-Waring and Shuchi Kothari will include a Q&A to give responses to such questions as:
  • How do you manage IP distribution for projects in the early stages of development?
  • Since fairness and equity are subjective terms, how do you reflect those ideas in an MOU ?
  • When there is no money for legals in early stages of development how does one create an MOU?
  • What types of provisions are possible within an early-stage MOU?
This webinar is open to all members of PASC as well as other screen guilds and organisations, and would be most beneficial to those intending to apply to Episode One: Web Series Pilot Programme (see the link above for more info on this).
Date: Thursday 28 October 7:00-8:00pm.
A Zoom link will be sent to registered participants closer to the session time.
This webinar is made possible with funding from New Zealand On Air and additional support by The New Zealand Film Commission.

Applications close for Episode One at 1pm on 1 November, 2021.
