What a breakthrough! Wasn't it fabulous to see women receiving the three top prizes at the prestigious Venice International Film Festival?! The Golden Lion for Best Film went to French director Audrey Diwan for Happening; Jane Campion received a Silver Lion for Best Director for The Power Of The Dog; and Maggie Gyllenhaal’s adaptation of Elena Ferrante’s The Lost Daughter was awarded the Golden Osella for Best Screenplay.
Women are on a roll and we look forward to seeing similar results in future years!
