This is a great time to bring recognition to someone out there who makes a difference!
The late Ian (Turtz) Turtill was an influential camera department icon. If you know someone like that, then you should nominate them for this year's Turtz Award, run by the New Zealand Cinematographers Society.
Email info@nzcine.com with the name of the person and a short paragraph about their contribution. It could be any sort of contribution, it could be related to this past year, or it could be for a lifetime's work.
Any NZCS member can make a nomination and the deadline is 1 September. The award is decided by the NZCS Committee and will be presented at the NZCS Awards dinner this October.
